June 2019 Garden News

A quiet month for us with only one garden presentation which was to ‘The Gap Garden Club’, I did my ‘Bizarre and Beautiful Botanicals’ presentation’ which was well received.
The drive to The Gap is a nightmare as you have to go through the city at peak time, headache from concentrating on the almost two hour drive to get there, anyway they are a nice club and the drive home was much easier.
After a bit of nagging from our Grand Children I have built them a Tree House in the Mango tree, they are loving it.

A big job this month was to empty all my Amorphophallus pots, clean the tubers and store dry, as usual I lost a couple to rot, always seems to happen.

We had a break away from the garden and went to Agnes Water for a few days to see our son.
We had good rain and it was so good to come home to NOT watering.
All our tanks are full which augers well for the rest of the year.

We have decided we will open our garden again on the 23rd and 24th November, this will be our 18th consecutive opening, and yes, I have done many projects this year and have another one planned in July so there will be plenty to see in November.
